Chromatic propose Ecoparc 4

As the new Waste Management Center of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area was nearing completion, the municipality of Els Hostalets de Pierola commissioned us to design a proposal to improve its landscape integration, ensuring it would not detract from the views of Montserrat enjoyed from the town. To avoid increasing execution costs, the project had to strictly adhere to the omnipresent metal sheeting and a selection of 12 available lacquer finishes.

The proposal consisted of creating a chromatic staff (pentagram) that, through the alternation and scaling of just five colors, corresponded to the lyrics and melody of the Virolai hymn. This design successfully dematerialized the 50,000 m² of built area while blending it seamlessly into the surrounding vineyards and the backdrop of the Montserrat mountain.
