Color Master Plans
More than a color chart: a legacy for the city
Color Master Plans (Plans del Color) go far beyond a mere catalog of shades. They represent a deep, scientific investigation into the past, present, and future of a city’s architecture—serving as a regulatory instrument to preserve urban chromatic identity and drive its historic recovery.

Restoring Historical Colors
Since the pioneering Barcelona Color Master Plan launched in 1989, our team has developed tailored plans for over 40 cities. Each project integrates exhaustive archival research, urban growth studies, the classification of architectural typologies, and the analysis of traditional construction systems. Our methodology also encompasses the study of regional quarries and physical stratigraphic sampling (cates) on historical facades to accurately deduce indigenous color profiles.
