Canyelles neighborhood
The Canyelles neighborhood, built in 1971 with 65 housing blocks, has seen significant improvements in services over the years but still requires facade rehabilitation. Reviving a neighborhood initiative from the 1980s, the proposal aims to revitalize and upgrade the district through a strategic chromatic project.
The concept is inspired by the vegetation of the Collserola natural park, assigning a specific plant and a distinct color palette to each type of building block to reinforce residents’ sense of identity and enhance the urban landscape. The project features polychromatic stuccos that interpret natural shapes and colors, striving for a more organic architecture while preserving the neighborhood’s original values.
