This transformation completely redefined its previous appearance and interior layout, cementing it as one of the definitive masterpieces of Modernisme (Art Nouveau) worldwide.

The building possesses immense artistic value alongside highly functional architectural finishes. At the owner’s request, we were commissioned to carry out several Chromatic Studies to identify, characterize, and uncover the original color schemes and finishes across various areas. This comprehensive project spanned everything from furniture pieces to the legendary Main Facade, the striking Rear Facade, and the interior wall coverings of the Piano nobile, the Entrance Lobby and Concierge area, the Grand Staircase, and the apartments on the third floor.

The analytical results helped us unveil the workshop secrets of the master artisans who worked on Casa Batlló. They highlighted the genius of Gaudí, who brought an incredible material and chromatic richness to the building’s finishes. These spaces have since been restored in several phases to recover their original early 20th-century appearance—an intervention that was honored with the 2021 Special Award for Intervention in Architectural Heritage (EAAHI).

[29
post-4445","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio_category-chromatic-studies
["GET
