Located in Barcelona’s Born neighborhood, it was designed by the architect Juan Soler y Mestres in collaboration with fellow architect Pablo Jambrú i Badia.

The Chromatic Study was instrumental in reshaping the initial intervention project. It determined that the main wall surfaces across all three facades retained their original, traditional lime and marble-dust stucco with a smooth troweled finish. Furthermore, despite surface weathering, the analysis revealed that it was originally executed with a faux-marbling technique, featuring reddish jasper-effect veining over a beige-white background. During the site assessment, the Gabinet del Color team detected trace remnants of this original marbled decoration in the most sheltered areas of the walls (beneath balconies and window sills), despite accumulated dirt. Subsequent laboratory analysis of the coating samples fully confirmed these findings.

The final restoration project incorporated the re-creation of these faux-marbling finishes, successfully recovering the original appearance of the facades—a historic feature that would have been lost without the insights provided by this preliminary Chromatic Study.

[29
post-4442","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio_category-chromatic-studies
["GET
