A palace designed and built by Antoni Gaud\u00ed between 1886 and 1890, commissioned by Eusebi G\u00fcell and located on Carrer Nou de la Rambla in Barcelona. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Conceived during the architect’s youth, this building establishes the foundational principles of Gaud\u00ed’s architecture, which would become visible in his later masterpieces.<\/p>\n
In 1994, the interior walls of Palau G\u00fcell were analyzed in a first Chromatic Study, uncovering the specific color distribution that Gaud\u00ed had chosen for the rooms. Subsequently, between 2005 and 2011, the meticulous restoration carried out by the Local Architectural Heritage Service of the Barcelona Provincial Council (Diputaci\u00f3 de Barcelona<\/em>) required a comprehensive preliminary analysis and study of the entire palace. Our Chromatic Studies characterized, among other areas, all the ornamental features (including gilding and metalwork) in Mrs. G\u00fcell\u2019s Bedroom and the Main Floor Hall.
